Men carry injured schoolchildren after what activists said was a barrel bomb dropped by forces loyal to Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and hit a school and a residential building in Seif al-Dawla neighborhood of Aleppo

While US Tomahawk missiles were pummeling Bashar Assad’s Shayrat Air Base, Syria’s official SANA news agency reported that one American missile hit the village of Al-Hamrat, killing four civilians including a child. Another seven civilians were reportedly wounded when three other US missiles accidentally hit a neighborhood in Al-Manzul, more than two miles from the Shayrat Air Base.

At 4:40am local time, 59 Tomahawk missiles were fired at the base from US warships in the Eastern Mediterranean. The missile strike was ordered by US President Donald Trump in retaliation for what the United Nations claims was a chemical weapons attack in the city of Idlib. The UN and US blamed it on forces loyal to the Syrian government, but Russian officials claim it was triggered by the demolition of a weapons storage building occupied by rebels.

Vladimir Safronkov, Russia’s deputy ambassador to the UN, criticized the US reaction referring to,”The double standards used when talking about alleged crimes committed by the Syrian government versus those of the Americans and their allies”.

While the Russians stand by Assad for now, it’s only a matter of time before they admit their Syrian ally is a traitor to Russia and the world. Insiders tell us the Russians know the truth and they are not willing to play “Russian Roulette” with Donald Trump for the sake of Bashar Assad.

Officials close the the situation expect some sort of settlement within the next year to move Assad from power with a sweet deal for him and his closest confidants. The word is Bashar Assad is scared of ending up like Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi, especially after the US attack and he’s ready to make a deal.

Whether Trump is right or wrong…..He’s Righteous! It doesn’t matter who actually committed these chemical gas attacks although the evidence points to Assad. What matters is having power over the Middle East monsters by scaring every subversive group from even considering the use of chemical weapons. While the loss if innocent civilians is horrible, doing nothing is always far worse. So whether the reports of Syrian civilian casualties are true or not, many more innocent lives would be lost if America didn’t act against the Assad regime.
